I saw one of these and one of the last generations when I was going up to Kittery, Maine last Saturday. I left the beach and went for dinner and ice cream. After eating, we went the same way we came in and saw one of these being picked up by a tow truck. I couldn't help but laugh my ass off.

I can't think of a single vehicle that has the same levels of capability and luxury a Range Rover has that's more reliable.

A Land Cruiser maybe?

Possibly a Cayenne, but it's probably about the same level or reliability.

Hell I'd probably take a lightly used one over a GC...

I'll admit that the first thing I thought of was a Land Cruiser, though I know the new ones look awful. It may be that I'm just thinking of the SVR as being a lot more highly priced than other stuff. I feel like this is one instance where the AMG might actually be a fair bit more reliable too though as well as the ridiculous BMWs.

I was looking at the crazy SVR prices. The one that just went around the Nurburgring that my friend is yammering about. You can lop off the G Class/larger ridiculous BMW from what I was saying then. I was talking about the wrong Rover.

In my parts of the world, probably the Q3, Q7, the X5, the Mercedes M-class... there are others but I can't think of any right now, I haven't even had coffee yet! Range Rovers really remind me of Chelsea in London.
